For the price of a $5.00 hamburger, Leket Israel rescues 15 hot meals for the country's poor.

Over 20% of households in Israel suffer from an imbalanced or insufficient diet due to poverty. At the same time thousands of meals are being destroyed each evening by hundreds of producers in Israel's catering industry. Leket Israel, with the help of over 800 volunteers, is doing all in its power to rescue these meals from over 200 banquet halls, restaurants and shopping mall-food halls, redistributing them to the country's needy.
